Am to Pm Skincare routine
I’ve thought about sharing this post for a while and I don’t really know why I haven’t. I’m super nosey so I like to know what people are using on their skin and generally what they are doing. *I hope I’m not the only one.* My skin has got so much better over the last 6 months and a lot of that is down to my acne tablets and keeping my skin really hydrated. I find that, that is the best course of action for my skin as the dryer it gets the more visible my imperfections are and the more red and angry they then become. So I here’s an insight to my day and night routine.
Alarm goes off…
I’m very good at getting up as soon as my alarm goes off, which apparently is a bit weird according to my boyfriend. I usually shower the night before so I will start with cleaning my face with Garnier Micellar Water. I love this product because number 1 it’s super affordable and comes in a great size which lasts for ages. Number 2 it is suitable for sensitive skin and number 3 it really does the job of cleaning my face but not leaving it dried out.
I follow up with a spritz all over my face of Mario Badesco facial spray with Aloe herbs and Rosewater. This makes me feel more awake and gives my skin and instant hit of hydration. I love this product so much and if you’ve followed my blog for a while I have mentioned it in so many posts because it is AMAZING!
I let the spray soak into my skin and then I use the L’oreal Paris Hydra Genius Moisteriser for sensitive skin. I use this like a serum even though it says you can replace it for your normal moisturiser because for me it’s not enough. This is really gentle and it sinks in super well which is why I like to use it to start with.
I’m then going to use my eyecream which at the moment is from Temple spa Windows of the Soul. This product feels really light and refreshing on my eye area and I feel like it gets things circulating and depuffing a bit before I put my makeup on.
At the moment I am double moisturising, the first one is Avene Hydrance Optimale Light which has a matte finish and is perfect for sensitive skin. Followed by the old faithful Cetaphil moisterising cream. This combo has saved my skin over the winter months and I still need it at the mo. Obviously because acne cream can be quite drying I think this really helps combat both winter and the cream.
End of the day…
As much as I love putting on my face in the morning I love taking it off after a long day out and about. I started using Emma Hardie Moringa Cleasing balm which feels so soothing on my sensitive skin. You only need a small amount with a little water then you rub it all over your face. It can take off all makeup and mascara in one go. I team it with FOREO mini when I’m in the shower. I love these 2 together and the FOREO makes my skin feel really smooth.
I’ve been enjoying using Balanceme Rose Otto face oil at night. I don’t stick to a certain product every night but I do reach for this the most. It is 100% natural so there’s no little nasties that will aggravate my skin. It calms, strengthens, plumps and nourishes my skin so what’s not to love.
Another favourite is Formula Absolute Ultimate skin cream which is hypoallergenic, paraben free and suitable for all skin types. And it really works will with my skin. The one thing I really notice is that it feels really plumped and hydrated when I wake up in the morning.
Do you have any recommendations? I’m always looking for new things to add into my routine so I would to hear what’s always in your skincare routine? Thanks for reading 🙂
